During this session, you'll remain in complete control, aware of your surroundings, and able to open your eyes at any time if needed. Your mind will simply become deeply relaxed while remaining alert to important sounds around you. [Pause 4 seconds] Take a moment now to adjust your position until you feel completely comfortable. [Pause 8 seconds]
Begin by taking a deep, gentle breath in through your nose. [Pause 4 seconds] And as you exhale slowly through your mouth, feel the first wave of relaxation flowing through your body. [Pause 5 seconds] With each breath, allow yourself to settle more comfortably into your position. [Pause 4 seconds] Notice how your chest rises and falls with each breath. [Pause 5 seconds] And with every exhalation, any tension simply melts away. [Pause 6 seconds] Now, bring your attention to your feet and toes. [Pause 4 seconds] Feel them becoming heavy and relaxed. Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful, tranquil garden. [Pause 5 seconds] The air is perfectly warm and comfortable.
