If you wear contact lenses, you may want to remove them. While this recording is designed to help you relax deeply, you can easily become alert if needed. Let's begin your journey to relaxation. As you settle in, you might notice the gentle rhythm of your breathing, or perhaps the weight of your body against the surface beneath you. [Pause 4 seconds] And as you focus on these sensations, you might wonder which you'll notice first - the softening of your shoulders, or the way your thoughts begin to drift. [Pause 5 seconds] Sometimes relaxation begins in the mind, while other times it starts in the body, and occasionally, it's hard to tell which comes first, just as it's challenging to know whether thoughts create feelings or feelings create thoughts. [Pause 6 seconds] And as you consider this, you might notice how your breathing changes, or doesn't change, or changes in ways that change how you notice the changes. [Pause 7 seconds] The more you try to understand this process, the more you might find yourself naturally drifting into a comfortable state of not needing to understand at all. [Pause 8 seconds] And that's perfectly fine, because your unconscious mind already knows exactly how to guide you into relaxation. [Pause 6 seconds]
You find yourself in a cozy, warm room. [Pause 4 seconds] Soft, ambient light filters through sheer curtains, creating gentle patterns that dance across the walls. [Pause 5 seconds] A plush, comfortable armchair embraces you, supporting every curve of your body perfectly. [Pause 6 seconds] The air is pleasantly warm, carrying a subtle hint of lavender or perhaps your favorite calming scent. [Pause 5 seconds] Thick, soft carpeting muffles any outside sounds, creating a cocoon of tranquility around you. [Pause 7 seconds] This is your personal sanctuary, a space where time moves at your own pace. [Pause 8 seconds]
With each breath you take, you sink ten times deeper into this peaceful state. [Pause 6 seconds] The gentle weight of relaxation doubles with every exhale. [Pause 7 seconds] You might notice a pleasant heaviness in your limbs, or perhaps they feel light and floating - either sensation drawing you deeper into tranquility. [Pause 8 seconds] Like a gentle elevator descending through levels of relaxation, each floor taking you twice as deep as before.
