Now, take a moment to settle into a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and when you're ready, we'll begin. [Pause 10 seconds]
I wonder if you've noticed how thoughts can flow in different directions, like streams of consciousness merging and diverging, while awareness drifts like clouds in a summer sky. [Pause 5 seconds] And as you think about thinking, you might notice how some thoughts become clearer while others fade, just as some sounds become more prominent while others recede into the background. [Pause 6 seconds] The more you try to focus on all these different sensations simultaneously, the more you might find yourself naturally drifting into a comfortable state of relaxation.
